Catch Up: Part 2

There are certain friendships that will always have a special place on our hearts! Our friendship with the Stollers is certainly one of those friendships! Anyway, they came to visit us last weekend over the Fourth! We had such a great time and made some incredible memories! Please come back and visit again soon!!
Anyway, we certainly had plenty to do when they were here! They had picked 40 pounds of green beans from their garden and we snipped and canned them all on Thursday!! It was definitely the most fun I have ever had snipping beans!;)

A game of Blokus after snipping beans!! (and after Naomi and I beat the guys in euchre;)

Paige chilling, while the rest of us were working!!
When Kate visits, I instantly drop to second favorite!!;)
A quick selfie before swimming! Kyle got to stay with us a few days before the rest of his family got here! He was so fun to have with us!
There is no better combination than friends, sun kissed skin, and cold popsicles!
We seriously love this girl!!
Having fun with a camera and some edits! ;)
Yes...selfies in the van are kind of our thing!!
A very intense game of  risk on a rainy day!! I almost won...

What is July 4th without sparklers?!?!

Paige loved them! (I don't know why her eyes are so creepy in this picture;)

I feel I need to mention a very significant happening this weekend! We were supposed to have a cookout and play volleyball with Steidingers on Friday night! However, upon arriving, our arms full of food, we were suddenly bombarded with water by the Zimmermans and Steidingers!  Until last year, it had been a tradition to have a water fight with Zimmermans! Being the peaceful people that we are, we assumed that our water fighting days were over! They had lost the water fight every year since we had started the tradition, so why keep fighting a losing battle?!?;) We were thoroughly surprised and will be on our guard every year from now on. We are humble enough to admit defeat this year, but cannot say we won't  retaliate!;) It was so great to see them!!

Catch Up: Part 1

I suppose that the fact that we are not used to having a blog is becoming very evident!!  It makes me cringe to realize that the last time I posted was May 15th!  So, after some persistent "nagging" by friends to post, I'm finally sitting down to do it! Anyway, the past couple months have been very busy, but full of some wonderful memories!

We celebrated Joshua and Caleb's eighth birthdays on June 4th! It doesn't seem like they should be eight!  We are so thankful for what they add to our home! They have been an adventure and we don't know what we would do without them!!

They loved going to a fun park with some wonderful friends for a day!! :)
They chose to eat at Golden Corral for their birthday supper...we are pretty sure that Joshua is a bottomless pit!!;)

Clothes, just what any eight year old boy wants!!;)
And a slip n slide!!

Also, Eric Bahler, Toby Steidinger, Derek Stoller, and Kate Stoller gave to visit us for a long weekend! It was a lot of fun and very...lively! ;)

Eating at Golden Corral! The cotton candy was obviously a huge hit!

Us girls ready for church!!

What would a crowded van be without a selfie to remember it by?!?

A few days after our guests left, Megan and I got to go to Illinois for eight days by ourselves before the rest of our family arrived and stayed for another week! It was such a special time to visit friends and family, although I did feel weird to not have any work to do for so long! Thankfully, we had some good friends put us to work weeding tomatoes! ;)

Orange Leaf  with Grandma and Grandpa Knapp!! We may have been spoiled a bit...;)
We had an outdoor luncheon one day with some wonderful friends!

We also got to have lunch and do a little shopping with Faith and Kate!

Time with cousins!

Paityn and Paige;)

We loved seeing Maddux again! Although, none of us really got a turn to hold him except mom!;)

Overall, it was a wonderful trip and we can't wait till the next time we can come!  It is always hard to leave the place that we lived for so long but there is so much to be thankful for! I'm so grateful for all the memories and time we had in Illinois but I'm also thankful for what we have here in Georgia!! It is painful at times but also special to know and love people in more than one place!!
Stay tuned for Part 2!!;)
